The IT Summit is the executive technology conference series returning to Seattle/Bellevue for our sixth annual event on Wednesday, May 17th 2017. The purpose of the summit is to provide educational and networking resources for the IT leaders in the Puget Sound area. The conference is driven by an Executive Board of regional IT professionals that directs the content of the educational sessions and sponsor participation. The IT Summit is designed to address the real-world opportunities and challenges faced by today’s executives, by facilitating face-to-face interaction and networking among information technology peers.

Mike O’Neill brings an extensive, successful career in Alliance and Business Development to HyperGrid. He joins from Hewlett Packard Enterprise where as the Vice President of System Integrator, Strategic Alliances he led the development of solutions, businesses and sales growth with HPE’s top strategic partners, a portfolio that included among others, Accenture, Deloitte, Capgemini, PwC, Wipro, TCS and Tech Mahindra. Mike joined HP from EMC where he had been responsible for M&A; Integration Management. Prior to his role at EMC, he managed the EMC Global Alliance organization with a portfolio that included industry leading Enterprise Software companies and System Integrators. Mike has also held executive positions in sales and business development at several enterprise technology companies including Attachmate, Data General/EMC, Network Appliance and Stratus. Mike O’Neill holds an M.B.A. from Thunderbird School of Global Management, and a bachelor’s degree from the University of Puget Sound.
Ralph Johnson is the Chief Information Security and Privacy Officer for King County, Washington and Past President of the Holistic Information Security Practitioners Institute (HISPI) Governance Board. Mr. Johnson’s has been with King County for 27 years serving in multiple IT and management roles.
For the past 11 years Mr. Johnson has held the position of Chief Information Security and Privacy Officer in which he oversees information security and privacy issues for the entire county. In this capacity he established the information assurance program from policy development to controls selection, implementation, monitoring and evaluation.
Since December 2014 Mr. Johnson has also been an Adjunct Instructor in the Information Systems and Cyber Security Bachelor’s program at ITT Technical Institute in Seattle. Teaching courses on Risk Management, Policy Development and Security Issues in a Legal Context.
He held the position of HISPI Governance Board President from April of 2012 to July 2014 and served as Governance Board Secretary for three years prior to assuming the role or President.
Mr. Johnson also serves on the Executive Committee, Product Review Board for the Trusted Purchasing Alliance and the Education and Awareness Committee of the Multi State – Information Sharing and Analysis Center (MS-ISAC). He also serves on the Program Advisory Committee for ITT Technical Institute in Seattle, Washington.
Mr. Johnson is the recipient of the ISE® West People’s Choice 2014 award and was a nominee for ISE® North America 2014.
Mr. Johnson has a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Eastern Oregon University and an Associate’s degree in Mortuary Science form San Francisco College of Mortuary Science.
He holds multiple certifications in information security, information privacy, network administration and project management.
With over 25 years of experience in the IT industry, Todd Martin has spent nearly two decades working directly for top manufacturers such as IBM, NetApp, and Cisco. During the height of the collocation industry growth in the early 2000s, he worked at Exodus and LoudCloud. Today, Todd is a valued consulting engineer with Advanced Systems Group (ASG), where he focuses on architecting data center solutions for virtualized and converged systems.
Altogether, Todd holds a wealth of technical certifications from key industry vendors, including NetApp, Palo Alto, Hitachi Data Systems and F5. He also has extensive experience designing data center solutions—with particular regards to compute and storage architectures.
Doug Thompson Area Vice President, leads the team of senior engineers supporting large enterprise customers at CenturyLink. He has managed very large IT projects throughout his years and so he is in tune with the pulse of his customers. He is a technologist by training but at heart he focuses and fully believes that helping his customers reach their business goals and therefore improving their lives is his primary goal.
He finds grace and peace in food, friends, wine, music, and the off-piste powder of the glades and couloirs of the Rockies’ high peaks.
He favorite colors are concrete, glass, and steel. He completed his MBA, Information Systems, at the University of Missouri, Columbia, Missouri.
Kristopher Dane, Associate at the international engineering firm Thornton Tomasetti, Inc., is a graduate of the University of Washington (UW) Master of Arts in Policy Studies program and a graduate of the Information Assurance and Risk Management Certificate Program at University of Washington. Kris holds certifications from the Department of Defense Committee on National Security Systems and is currently a Doctor of Engineering Candidate at George Washington University. He has published research on data breaches in the ISSA journal and previously spent nine years as a Technical Program Manager before joining Thornton Tomasetti, where he brings his analytical, programming, and modeling skills to serve their Structural and Protective Design Practices. Jordan Wiseman has been in information technology and security for more than 18 years. As a Senior Security Intelligence Advisor with Anitian, he leverages expertise in security risk assessment and analysis, health information privacy, private and public cloud technologies, regulatory compliance, and incident response. One of Jordan’s more recent accomplishments, was co-authoring the “PCI Compliance in the AWS Cloud” workbook, which has served as a resource to multiple security professionals amid the industry. His specialties include risk assessment, regulatory compliance, incident response, cloud security, virtualization, HIPPA and protected health information, identity management, and security systems administration. Jordan attended Washington State University, Carson College of Business and studied Management of Information Systems. He holds GIAC, QSA, and risk assessment credentials. Robert Napoli is a healthcare leader with over 20 years of experience in strategic development, business transformation, and technology innovation. In his current role as Chief Information Officer of Planned Parenthood of the Great Northwest and the Hawaiian Islands, he is responsible for the technology and information systems serving users and patients in Alaska, Hawaii, Idaho, and western Washington.

Mr. Turylo has been the Chair of the School of Information Technology at ITT Technical Institute in Seattle and the Executive Vice President of the Puget Sound Chapter of the Association of Information Technology Professionals for the last 9 years. Mr. Turylo has also spent roughly the previous two decades (the last 10 years at a senior level) in the fields of engineering and information technology for the telecommunications, banking, and finance sectors.
Brett is Senior Vice President, Information Technology Officer and Facilities Officer for First Federal in Port Angeles, WA. Brett is responsible for developing the bank’s IT and facilities strategies and maintaining the bank’s technology and facilities infrastructures. He has over 23 years of experience implementing and supporting numerous technologies for several industries including military, aviation, engineering, manufacturing, and mechanical contracting. Mark is currently the Product Manager for Computers & Technology and Online Learning at Bellevue College, Continuing Education program. Mark has worked in the higher education industry for over 30 years working with traditional public and private colleges and universities along with Career Colleges and related technology companies such as Blackboard and Microsoft. Prior to coming to SVC he was a higher education consultant with the Gilfus Education Group, the Executive Director of eLearning for City University OnLine, Dean of Distance Learning at Skagit Valley College and the Director of Technology for the Woodring College of Education at Western Washington University.
In addition to his higher education experience, Mark has over 15 years of experience in the Imagineering and management of online learning. While at Western Washington University, he envisioned, developed and managed the first BA degree program in the US to be offered entirely online. He is also a member of ASTD, the eLearning Guild, the Sloan Consortium and the Association of Humanistic Psychology and currently resides in Bellingham, Washington.

InfraGard is a Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) program that began in the Cleveland Field Office in 1996.
