About The Speaker
Bob currently works with communities and other government entities to assist with developing their disaster mitigation and response planning operations.

Prior to that, he spent 15 years with the American Red Cross coordinating disaster planning, training and community education, liaising with organizations with international ties, and teaching courses in disaster response, terrorism awareness and International Humanitarian Law. At the national Red Cross level, he remains a volunteer mentor for other chapters for Holocaust & War Victims Tracing casework and goes out on larger disaster operations as an administrator, a mitigation officer, or as a national training specialist.

His educational background is in TV/film production and Adult & Continuing Education. He is a former state board member of the Association of Contingency Planners, president of the Tulsa Partners Foundation (a public-private partnership dedicated to emergency preparedness and mitigation), past President of the Oklahoma Volunteer Organizations Active in Disaster (VOAD), and a member of the Oklahoma Hazard Mitigation Team (a component of the Oklahoma Department of Emergency Management), the Region 7 Terrorism Early Warning Group, the International Critical Incident Stress Foundation, the Oklahoma Emergency Management Association, the Anti-Terrorism Advisory Council (ATAC) with the US Attorney’s office, and the American Society for Training & Development.
